mr robot, mental illness

he needs an understanding momlike friend instead of a population of judgmental assholes pushing him further into madness and enabling harmful behavior. he has no reliable reference to anything, no one to trust, nowhere to feel safe. of course i love darlene too she's just doing her best. and characters friendly to elliot. anyway all i feel for him is empathy and that is important. fight club didn't get my empathy

@CobaltVelvet He's too fucked up for me too watch; there's too much psychological bla for me in that series, and not enough 1337 h4x0r1n9. I'm not even sure if I continued watching after that musical episode with all the singing.

mr robot, mental illness

@tim @CobaltVelvet The, uhh, the musical episode? Which one is that?

mr robot, mental illness

@2015_05_09 @CobaltVelvet The one where they're driving around in a car with the whole family, I believe? I can't remember the whole thing. It might have been one or two seasons ago already.

@tim @CobaltVelvet Nobody's singing, there's a theme song though. It's only for like 10-15 minutes. And it's a throwback to old sitcoms even going as far as to shoot it on true old cameras used back then.
And yeah it wasn't great the first time I watched it either but it's pretty fun.

@2015_05_09 @CobaltVelvet It's pretty cool how they put in the effort and from an artistic point of view. Just not my cup of tea. It wasn't just that, I didn't really enjoy the whole psychological aspect of it. Perhaps because I can't really relate to it. Matter of taste I guess.
