It's banal, but working w/ others is completely essential to doing good work, not least of which because it's the only way to maintain a healthy mindset.
Working alone makes it easy to:
* slack off
* work too much
* work _way_ too much
* think you're genius
* think you're dumber than sand
* work on the wrong thing
* work on the right thing badly
* work on the right thing well, but then market it wrong
you get the point
